Every channel's power spectrum from the clean segments of this recording. Flatten it to see what is genuine oscillation rather than 1/f background.
A linear phase gradient fitted to the alpha phase across all fourteen electrodes in every clean 60-second window: its gradient vector k (direction and steepness), how well a single gradient explains the phase field (R²), and whether the field is closer to a fixed 0/π pattern or to a directional one. Switch bands to see that the structure belongs to alpha.
What these numbers are. These are scalp-level phase-gradient metrics. With this montage they cannot determine a wavelength or distinguish true propagation from lagged spatial structure — the identifiability result of §12; see also §13.

This session ran the photic protocol: 30 s dark, then fourteen flicker frequencies from 6 to 16 Hz in random order, 20 s on and 10 s off. Each sweep's driven amplitude and fitted resonance are below; the archive-wide discussion is on the main page.
| Minute | f0 (Hz) | Grid peak | Q | 2f / f | Max SNR |

| Alpha standing-pattern score (legacy) | 5.316 | 29 | How much of the alpha phase field is a fixed 0/π pattern. A scalp-level descriptor from the original analysis; see §12 for what it can and cannot show. | |

| Alpha plane-fit directional score (legacy) | 1.155 | 9 | Share of the alpha phase field captured by a single linear phase gradient. It does not by itself establish cortical propagation: lag-free correlated noise produces similar values (§13). | |

| Plane-fit R² | 0.1203 | 7 | How well a single linear phase gradient explains the alpha phase field. | |

| Parietal asymmetry (R−L) | 42.57 | 52 | Alpha asymmetry at the parietal pair. P7 is the least reliable contact on the headset, so read this cautiously. | |
| Frontal asymmetry (R−L) | 33.58 | 80 | Frontal alpha asymmetry. Often read as an approach/withdrawal index in the literature; that interpretation is not supported by a consumer montage. | |
| Right/left alpha frequency (×) | 1.0000 | 98 | Ratio of right- to left-hemisphere alpha center frequency. Values near 1 mean the two hemispheres share one peak frequency; scalp EEG cannot say whether that reflects one source or several locked together. | |

The five-detector screen — device-reported blinks and eye movements (±0.75 s), accelerometer jerk and rocking (±1 s), contact and EEG quality (±0.5 s), robust amplitude excursions and sample-to-sample jumps (±0.25 s) — is described in full in the Methods page. Only clean runs of at least two seconds are used.
Non-diagnostic research on consumer EEG. Values describe recorded electrical patterns after artifact screening; they do not establish a mental state, a psychedelic effect, or a clinical finding. See the methods and limits.
